"Fall, Interrupted" - a golden maple leaf, its fall to the forest floor arrested, clings to a mossy branch near a stream in the woodlands.
"Falling Water" spills gently over the rocks in a small stream in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. A slow shutter speed turns the spray into a soft, dreamy mist, while a fallen vine maple leaf adds a splash of autumn color.
Autumn color blazes on the slopes at Artist Point, with 10,771-foot Mt. Baker, an active stratovolcano, rising majestically in the background.
