A gallery of vignettes which I call "Microscapes" - snippets of nature on a smaller, more intimate scale, the kind of thing most people never notice, but which offer glimpses into the beauty and variety of the world around us. Flowing water is a common theme, and I strive, with these images more than most, to capture a sense of calm, a feeling of serenity and relaxation to wash away the cares of everyday life. Many times, these opportunities can be found close to home, without a long trip, or even packing a lunch...
